Connect, Serve, GROW: Alumni Assembly 2025

Join us for our first-ever Sullivan Alumni Assembly. This weekend is a chance for our alumni to connect, serve and grow. It will run in tandem with our Ignite Retreat, Fellows Weekend, and Faculty Forum at Lake Junaluska, NC.

There are two registration options depending on your graduating year and experience, as well as oportunities to speak on leadership panels, serve in communities alongside our student fellows or deepen your committment by becoming a mentor.

Sullivan will provide meals and transportation for all weekend events. Lodging and travel to the retreat are up to you, but we’ve reserved a room block at the Lambuth Inn for alumni. If you need support with covering lodging costs, please don’t hesitate to reach out.

ALUMNI SUMMIT SCHEDULE

FRIDAY, OCT. 24

4:30-6:00 p.m.-Check in, Lambuth Hall Lobby

6:00 p.m.-Alumni Meet & Greet-Lambuth Lobby

6:30-8:30 p.m.-Dinner

9:00-10:00 p.m.-Firepit & Smores on the Lake with students (Optional)

SATURDAY, OCT. 25

Optional Morning Activities:

  • 7:00-8:00 a.m.-(Optional) Sunrise Yoga with Axis Yoga-Harrell Porch
    • Pre-registration required *will send to all registered attendees
  • 7:30-9:00 a.m.-Breakfast is served in The Terrace Hotel Dining Hall

9:30 a.m.-11:30 a.m..-Community Engagement Projects *BUS LEAVES AT 9:00 A.M.

Noon-1 p.m.-Lunch at Lake Junaluska or on your own (Terrace Dining Hall)

1:30-3:00 p.m.-Leadership Panel & Roundtable with Year 1 Fellows

3:00-4:00 p.m.-Rest & Recharge

4:30-6:00 p.m. - Year 3 Fellows & Alumni Connection Reception, Highland Brewery (Optional and for those interested in serving as mentors-Participants can stay on campus and have dinner with other participants in main dining hall) *Bus will leave at 4:00 p.m.-Pre-Registration required*

7:00-8:00 p.m. Ignite Retreat Keynote Speaker, Devine Camara, ONE Lexington
Each year, we host a special keynote speaker for all Ignite Retreat participants, Fellows, and faculty. All weekend participants are invited to attend this portion of the retreat.

8:00 p.m. Conclusion

SUNDAY, OCT. 20

Optional Morning Activities:

  • 7:00-8:00 a.m-Walking/Running Group *meet at The Labyrinth (next to the chapel)
  • 7:30-9:00 a.m.-Breakfast served in The Terrace Hotel Dining Hall (Second floor)

9:15-10:00 a.m.-Weekend Recap & Goals for Continued Connection, Lambuth Hotel Lobby

10:00-11:15 a.m. (Choose your adventure)

Prototype Pitch Competition, Ignite Retreat (observe)
Each year, we give our Ignite Retreat students the opportunity to take what they have learned from our Personal, Problem, and Project Tracks and pitch us their ideas and impact business strategies. Each participant will be able to vote for their favorite and alumni are invited to listen and vote! The top prize for the weekend is $250, with prizes for runners-up as well. Alumni are invited to observe this time and put in their votes.

Fellows Year 3 Mentor Meet-Up

If you’re interested in taking your involvement with the Fellows one step further, you’re invited to the Year 3 reflections and introduction to the project modules. There will be time for mentor/mentee conversations and assistance in facilitating a successful partnership for the year.
